Which Movies Are Returning to UK Cinemas in 2024?

Sometimes a movie is so good, you just need to see it again on the big screen! Here is a list of all the films being re-released during the rest of 2024!

Batman and Spider-Man!

For Batman’s 85th anniversary, The Dark Knight has returned to cinemas. Oh, and Spider-Man is also back! From the 6th of September, you can watch Batman Forever on the big screen. From the 13th, you can watch Batman & Robin, and Spider-Man: Far from Home. From the 20th, you can re-watch the entire Dark Knight Trilogy (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises), as well as The Batman, and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

20th September: Whiplash.

The award-winning Whiplash is returning to cinemas for its 10th anniversary. Starring Miles Teller as an aspiring jazz drummer, and J.K. Simmons as his surly, perfectionist instructor, this is well worth a watch if you haven’t seen it already.

27th September: Interstellar, Mean Girls, and Shaun of the Dead.

On the 27th of September, UK cinemas will see the return of many popular movies. Christopher Nolan’s masterpiece Interstellar will return for its 10th anniversary, and cult classics Mean Girls and Shaun of the Dead will return for their 20th anniversaries.

27th September: Terrifier.

For ONE NIGHT ONLY, selected cinemas will be screening a double bill of Terrifier and Terrifier 2 to celebrate the release of the upcoming third film.

4th October: Young Frankenstein.

On its 50th anniversary, Mel Brooks’s Young Frankenstein returns, starring Willy Wonka’s Gene Wilder as the grandson of Victor Frankenstein.

11th October: Gladiator.

With the highly anticipated Gladiator 2 releasing in November, the original 2000 historical epic is back in cinemas across the country!

Halloween: Carrie, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Halloween.

With Halloween just around the corner, Stephen King's 1976 supernatural classic Carrie is returning to cinemas on the 18th of October.


You cannot forget slasher movies during Halloween! Nightmare on Elm Street is returning for its 40th anniversary and Halloween (1978) is returning on the 25th of October.

21st October: Back to the Future Part II.

Great Scott! For the 35th anniversary and Back to the Future Day, Back to the Future Part II is re-releasing in cinemas across the country.

Christmas: The Polar Express and White Christmas.

Returning for Christmas are two huge movies on their respective anniversaries. On the 29th of November, The Polar Express is back for its 20th anniversary, while on the 6th of December, White Christmas is returning for its 70th anniversary.
