A Gripping Start to a Harrowing New Chapter!
The second season of Silo has kicked off to a good start with two riveting episodes that have picked up right where it left off, thrusting viewers back into the tension and intrigue that defined its first season!
Episode 1: A Mesmerising Return
Season 2 begins with Rebecca Ferguson’s Juliette Nichols outside the Silo, confronting the chilling truths about her world. The episode is a masterclass in visual storytelling, as Ferguson delivers a stunning performance without uttering a single word yet you feel engaged and captivated during the entire runtime as her non-vocal, mesmerising acting allows you to understand every emotion and thought running through Juliette’s mind.
As Juliette ventures into the unknown, her encounter with Steve Zahn’s character raises more questions than answers. Zahn’s brief yet impactful appearance adds an extra layer of intrigue, and I am very intrigued to find out more about him.

Episode 2: Rebellion Brews in the Silo
Back in the ‘OG’ Silo, the second episode shifts focus to the supporting characters we’ve come to love, giving them a chance to shine - who are determined to uncover the truth. The ensemble cast, featuring Juliette’s friends and family, aims to spark rebellion as they are determined to discover the truth with only limited resources.
Meanwhile, working to suppress their attempts and maintain order is Tim Robbins’ Bernard who delivers an unnerving performance as the power-hungry administrator whose iron grip on the Silo only tightens.

A Promising Start?
Admittedly, the pace of the start of the season is slightly affected by the multiple storylines. Ferguson’s absence from the Silo scenes is felt however her storyline outside adds a new dimension to the narrative, balancing the drama and keeping the audience hooked.
The series’ amazing visuals and set design must be mentioned. For a world with so little colour, with such a claustrophobic environment, Silo manages to create a world that feels so engaging!
If you loved the first season, expect Silo Season 2 to have you on the edge of your seat! New episodes currently dropping weekly on Apple TV+
